Bruno Zuculini Set To Join Valencia On Season-long Loan

The promising youngster is set to join the Spanish club on loan after signing for the Blues from Racing Club earlier in the summer.

Manchester City midfielder, Bruno Zuculini, is reportedly on the verge of joining Valencia on a loan deal after impressing on the Blues' US tour.

Zuculini, who played for half an hour in the Community Shield, will head to Spain tonight to complete the deal according to reports.

The Argentinian is rated highly in his native country after scoring 10 goals in 92 appearances for Racing Club, earning him a move to the English champions earlier this month.

He impressed on the Blues' tour of the USA and scored in the friendly against Kansas City, prompting some to suggest he would stay at the Etihad to compete for a place in the starting line up.

However, it appears Manuel Pellegrini has decided that the youngster will be better served playing regular football in Spain for a season before returning to City next year.

The 21-year-old signed for £1.5m this summer.

Bartomeu: Luis Enrique is the biggest signing of the year
08/18/2014
Josep Maria Bartomeu, the Barcelona president, believes that the "most important signing of the season" is in the dugout, even though the team has received an influx of fresh blood in the form of eight new players.
"Luis Enrique is the biggest signing of the year. He brings passion, leadership and sacrifice. We have high hopes for him", said Bartomeu during his speech at the 35th Supporters' Clubs World Conference held at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya.
The executive praised Barça's star signing for this season, the Uruguayan Luis Suárez. "He's really excited to be here. He's dreamed of playing here since he was little", he assured.
During his speech, Bartomeu devoted some words to the late Barcelona manager, Tito Vilanova, as well as to Gerardo 'Tata' Martino - the last two men to manage the side. However, he insisted on looking to the future, which in his view will involve the 'Espai Barça' project for the construction of a new stadium which "will be ready in 2021".
Finally, he defended the financial management of his board of directors. "We are reducing the debt year after year and that allows us to think about the future. This year we've had a record income, at €630 million, and profits, at €41 million", the Barça president finished by saying.
