Javier Hernandez agent has spoken regarding a possible move to Juventus
Javier Hernandez has been deemed surplus
to requirements at Manchester United. Hernandez made 24 league
appearances for United last season, but just six of those were starts,
and reportedly he has been told by new United manager Louis Van Gaal to
look for another club. Over the past few months, there has been news
about possible moves to Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan.
Recently, it has been reported that Juventus are eyeing the Mexican
striker and Manchester United are willing to use him in their bid to
land Arturo Vidal.
Hernandez’s agent has responded to this claim saying “there will be news soon”
“For now I cannot comment on the situation,” agent Eduardo Hernandez told reporters in South America.
“I have no news at the moment on an exchange, I haven’t spoken to anyone in England, but there will be news soon.”
Mexico national team manager Miguel
Herrera says he is in favour of Javier Hernandez leaving Manchester
United is also in favor of the player leaving United to play at
Juventus, where he can enjoy more game time.
“I think [Chicharito] needs to leave,” Herrera said in an interview
“
I think [Juventus] would be a good
option for him. When a coach doesn’t want you – when you have your best
experience, your best moment with them, and now the coach that wanted
you is no longer there – it’s time to move.
“I think there are a lot of
opportunities. They are not bad opportunities. If he goes to Juventus
that would be an extraordinary team. Without a doubt, it would be a nice
change for him. Hopefully he’ll see more minutes.”
It is not certain whether claims involving Hernandez’ involvement in the Vidal deal are true. Daily Express says that Italian club are ready to let Vidal go, but only if United are prepared to give them Nani and cash.
Meanwhile Arturo Vidal has been linked with a move to Manchester United for a long time now and new rumors have resurfaced his he was spotted signing a Manchester United shirt.
Manchester United are also interested in
Roma’s Mehdi Benatia. Louis Van Gaal is a big fan of the 27 year old
and is keen on adding the solid defender to his side. The Dutchman was
reportedly furious after United lost out on Arsenal centre back Thomas
Vermaelen as the Gunners didn’t want to sell the player to a league
rival and instead did business with Catalan giants Barcelona.
The departure of Rio Ferdinand and
Nemaja Vidic has left a void in United’s back-line and van Gaal wants to
enusre that a solid defender is added to the squad before the season
begins. At present, the new United boss only has Jonny Evans, Phil Jones
and Chris Smalling at his disposal.
Reports in Italy claim that Van Gaal is preparing an eye-catching £30million bid to secure Benatia’s services.
