The Top Five Beauty Trends You Need To Try

Millie Mackintosh, Laura Whitmore and Vanessa Hudgens show us how it's done at Coachella

INSTAGRAM went into a frenzy over the last two weekends as celebrities posted selfies of their antics and outfits at Coachella in Palm Springs, California.

Young, beautiful stars from Kate Bosworth to Sienna Miller flocked to the festival to let their hair down and embrace their hippy sides, trialling some striking beauty trends along the way.

From flower crowns to face jewels and rainbow hair hues, here are the five key trends you need to get practising for festival season this summer…

Flower crowns

Cara's sis Poppy Delevingne prettied up her sleek blonde locks with a vivid pink flower crown, while actress Emmy Rossum opted for sunny yellow piece.

Former Made In Chealsea star Millie Mackintosh accessorised her chic outfit with neutral girly blooms.

For maximum boho effect, style your hair in tousled waves and keep the rest of your look simple.

Dark Horse singer Katy Perry, MTV presenter Laura Whitmore and Kylie Jenner all brightened up their tresses with vivid dip-dye colour.
For a quick, easy and noncommittal take on the trend, use a hair chalk to apply a bright shade to lengths and ends, or use your lippie like Laura, who wrote on Instagram: "DIY hair!!! The things you can do with red lippy."

Creating a crown-skimming, messy braid a la singer Rita Ora or intricate plaits like Glee actress Lea Michele and The Hills' Whitney Port is the speedy way to add a boho feel to your hair.
If you're not skilled at doing them yourself, snap up a pre-plaited band that matches your hair colour.
